53.maple and pecan muffins
The strangest thing happened while i was making these muffins. The recipe said to mix half of the maple syrup into the batter and drizzle the remaining over the top of the muffins before they went in the oven.

The syrup made its way through the batter all the way to the bottom as it baked. I really wonder how. I would have expected it to just get infused into the batter. I ate one once it got out and i must say the syrup was a delightful surprise.
